Yes, we cache ranking results for 20 hours.
This caching function is used to speed up the delivery of data into reports, and to make report interfaces respond faster in certain circumstances.
It also means that if you run a Local Rank Tracker report and then re-run it again within a 20-hour period you will see exactly the same ranking results, as the results are cached and not newly fetched in that time frame.
When a report is re-run after 20 hours (e.g. every day), the data is freshly grabbed.
If you change an aspect of the report then we may get fresh data:
- Add keywords: We will get ranking results for these new keywords
- Add / change Search Location: This triggers a fresh lookup for all keywords
- Add / change website URL: This triggers a fresh lookup for all keywords
- Add / change business name or address: This triggers a fresh lookup for all keywords
- Add / change GMB profile: This triggers a fresh lookup for all keywords
