Which data can I see on the Summary page? Can I change it?

The Summary pages predominantly pull in data from the reports you have on your Location Dashboard. One exception is the ‘Links & Website Authority’ module.

Here’s a more detailed description of each module:

Links & Website Authority
This is the only module on the Location Dashboard not linked to a report in BrightLocal.
For this module, we fetch fresh data from ‘SEO Moz’ and ‘Majestic SEO’ for the business website address ‘on the fly’ each time the Summary page is viewed.

Data that we fetch:

  • Domain Authority (from ‘SEO Moz’)
  • TrustFlow Score (from ‘Majestic SEO’)
  • Citation Flow Score (from ‘Majestic SEO’)
  • Link Count (we use ‘External Equity-Passing Links’ metric for the ‘root domain’ from ‘SEO Moz’)
  • Linking Domains (we use ‘Total Linking Root Domains’ metric for the ‘root domain’ from ‘SEO Moz’)

This data is cached for 24 hours, so we will only fetch fresh data once in each 24-hour period. The date that data was last fetched is displayed in the top right of the module.

Any changes in website Domain Authority since you last viewed the Summary page are also tracked. If there have been any data changes, we will display ‘green up’ and ‘red down’ arrows accordingly.

Google Rankings
For this module, we take Google Rankings from the primary ‘Rankings’ report in BrightLocal. We aggregate Google Rankings for Google, Google Mobile, and Google Maps search engines.

Google Rankings from the past 30 days are displayed. For example, if the ‘Rankings’ report has been run only once in the past 30 days, you will see a single column in the ‘Google Rankings’ module. If it's been run more times, then more columns will simply be displayed.

If you do not see any data in ‘Google Rankings’ module, please check:

  • That you have at least one Rankings report assigned to the Location
  • That a Rankings report has been run at least once in the past 30 days
  • That the Rankings report has at least one Google search engine selected: Google, Google Mobile, Google Maps

Reviews & Ratings
This module pulls review data from the primary ‘Reviews & Ratings’ report in BrightLocal. It shows the Top 5 Review Sites specific to the country. At present, these Top Review Sites cannot be changed. However, we are planning to add more modules in the future, and these will enable you to choose which review sites and reviews you want to display.

Citations
Citations data is pulled from the primary ‘Citation Tracking’ report within BrightLocal.

Google Business Profile
The Google Business Profile module uses data from the ‘Google Business Profile’ and ‘Google Insights’ reports within BrightLocal.

For ‘Google Insights’ we display data for the last 30 days, as we fetch new data every day. For the ‘Google Business Profile’ element we use data from the most recent ‘primary’ report run.

Google Analytics
This module uses data from the ‘Google Analytics’ report within BrightLocal. If it’s not already connected, you can also connect to your Google Analytics account straight from the Summary page.

Facebook
Data from the ‘Facebook’ report within BrightLocal is used in this module. If it’s not already connected, you can also connect to your Facebook account straight from the Summary page.

Twitter
This module uses data from the ‘Twitter’ report within BrightLocal. If it’s not already connected, you can also connect to your Twitter account straight from the Summary page.
